Jonathan - House Manager

Jonathan is our House Manager who lives onsite. He speaks Spanish and English and recently completed his University degree in Accounting. He started working for us January 2023. You can find him helping to clean the apartments, maintaining the property, or helping with the administrative tasks. On his free time he loves to get outdoors and explore, try new restaurants, food, and wine. He seems to always be out on a hike or working out at the gym. Jonathan takes as much opportunity as possible to travel the world, his passion.

Jonathan can assist you with your luggage to and from your room along with Luis, our other houseman.

Luis - Assistant House Manager

Luis, a native Puerto Vallartan, was born and raised here. As our houseman, he assists Jonathan in making sure that the daily activities and assignments are taken care of. Luis speaks both Spanish and English and can assist you with your questions or if there are any problems. He is a great source of information about restaurants and things to do in the area. Luis graduated with a degree in Graphic design and is an avid painter, loves to go hiking, trying new restaurants, and going to cultural events with his friends.

Interesting trivia about Luis - Many of the painted antique doors found hanging throughout the Villa were painted by Luis prior to his employment with us. His father's company built our pool. His mother used to live as a child next to Casa Kimberly, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's home. She knew Elizabeth and said she was a nice woman. She has interesting stories of the couple.

Miguel - Guest Services/Administration Support Specialist

Miguel has been working with us at Villa Amistad since 2021. Miguel currently finished his University degree in English and French Language Education.  He loves teaching children and received top honors at graduation. At Villa Amistad Miguel is our primary person to provide assistance with check-in.  He greets the guests, provides a quick orientation of the property, and answers questions that guests may have regarding the Villa and Puerto Vallarta. In the office Miguel works on translating our guidebook and direct booking website into Spanish, answering reservation inquiries, and making sure guests are having a great experience during their stay. Miguel works with the House Manager and other staff regarding guest related issues. On his free time he loves to walk and explore Puerto Vallarta, visit the botanical gardens, hike, listen to music, and play his Nintendo. Miguel is an instrumental part of the Villa Amistad team. As we grow, Miguel will be assisting us with our Social Media presence.

John - Director of Operations/Business Partner/Primary Co-Host

John is my best friend who followed me down to Puerto Vallarta. He has been by my side through the whole process of buying and renovating the Villa, assisting with guests and acting as my Co-Host as we have grown. John oversees the daily operations of the Villa and helps to greet guests and train the team. In his free time he loves gardening, hiking, exploring the area and check out new restaurants.
