The things that make a stay feel effortless.
A short list of extras we can arrange around your stay. Some are ours, and some come from people we trust and have worked with for years. None of it is compulsory and none of it needs deciding now, but all of it is easier to arrange before you arrive than after.
Booking direct gives you the most room to arrange these, because you are talking to us from the start rather than through a platform.
Flights rarely land when check-in opens. These three exist so the first and last day of a trip are not spent waiting around with your bags.
Priority Early Check-In
Check-in is at 4:00 PM. If the apartment is ready by 3:00 PM we give you that hour free, without your having to ask, and we contact you on your arrival day to let you know. Priority Early Check-In, for a small fee, can be requested from noon, and most guests who book it are in before 1:30. It is not guaranteed, so if you need a certain hour, book the night before and we will hold the apartment for you.
Late Check-Out
Stay until 5:00 PM instead of leaving in the morning. We can only offer it when nobody is checking in that day and we can staff the clean for the next morning, so ask early. Once it is confirmed we block the apartment, and the afternoon is yours.
Departure Day Bag Storage
Out of the apartment but not ready to drag a suitcase around town? Leave your bags with us in the morning and collect them before your flight. It is complimentary when you are back by 2:00 PM.
In-apartment massage
A therapist comes to you, and afterward you shower in your own bathroom and go nowhere. We work with two independent providers: Galini Spa, voted a top-three spa in Puerto Vallarta in 2024 and 2025, and Omar, a certified physiotherapist. Relaxing, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic, four-hand, or side by side for two.
Private Spanish classes
A teacher comes to your apartment for an hour at a time, and complete beginners are as welcome as anyone wanting to sharpen the Spanish they already have. We introduce you to two independent local teachers, Carlos Herrera and Yazmani. Carlos splits the hour between structure and conversation; Yazmani keeps it on the Spanish of everyday life in Mexico. Ask early so they can hold your dates. You arrange and pay the teacher directly.
The Honor Bar
A self-serve bar by the entrance: cold beer, ready-to-drink cocktails, wine, soft drinks, water and a few essentials like milk. Take what you want, write it down, settle up at the end. No walk down the hill because the tonic ran out.
Beach towels
In the cabinet beside the Honor Bar, for taking out. Grab a fresh one on the way to Camarones, drop the used one in the hamper when you are back. Swaps are always free, so there is no need to pack your own.
Jungle hiking with Curiel
Curiel is a Puerto Vallarta legend, born and raised here, and he runs small-group hikes to hidden waterfalls and swimming holes, the top-rated outdoor activity in the city. Curiel's Retreat is named after him. Villa Amistad guests get 10% off with the code VAPV.
Extra housekeeping
Your apartment is serviced through the stay, and small requests like a spare towel or a fresh bath mat are free. Just ask. Extra towel or linen changes and a mid-stay deep clean can be added for a fee.
Faby, our concierge.
Faby runs her own concierge service here in Puerto Vallarta and looks after our guests. Airport transfers and private drivers, tours, a private chef in your apartment, grocery shopping so the fridge is full when you walk in, restaurant and tour reservations, a yacht day, a beach picnic, cribs and strollers for a family trip.
We introduce you and she takes it from there, arranging directly with you. She is independent of us and busy in high season, so the earlier you send your list, the more she can do with it.
We have deliberately left prices off this page. Early check-in and late check-out are priced per apartment, the concierge and the massage therapists set their own rates, and exchange rates move. Every current figure lives in the guest guidebook you receive when you book, and you can always just ask us.
